BENEFITS OF USING COMPOSTING TOILET IN A TINY HOUSE

Composting toilets help tiny house residents recycle human waste. After water is evaporated from the waste product through the toilet’s vent, the solid material that remains decays into a fertilizing soil.

Simple to Install – Unlike a traditional toilet which requires hooking up to existing pipes or installing new ones, a composting toilet is typically a self-contained unit that doesn’t need to be hooked to anything. Most composting toilets can be just put into a room and are immediately functional.

Inexpensive – There are many cheap DIY alternatives for composting toilets. The five-gallon bucket version costs only a few dollars to make. A more advanced version may cost as much like a traditional toilet, but you don’t have to pay extra money for anyone to come in and install it.

Water Preservation – A composting toilet doesn’t rely on water to be functional.

Free Compost – Your waste is converted into compost and can be used as fertilizer for your gardens as well as fuel for your home.

Odorless – Composting toilets are entirely odorless.
